Thrills and spills aplenty in the warm sunshine at the revival of the original soap box races held down Esplanade Road over a twisting course of 400 metres of chicanes, bends and ramps. Thousands turned up to enjoy the triumphs and disasters of the Practice Sessions and the timed runs in the afternoon.
